From the stained glass windows to the working bell, we've brought this historic gem back to her former glory. The property where the church is located was purchased in May of 1886 as the First Ave Methodist - Episcopal Church. The bell tower was donated and built in 1888, with a bell brought from a foundry in Boston. The space is perfect for small intimate gatherings with a capacity of 100 as well as an outdoor space, kitchen, and Bridal Suite.
The Trinity Cottage is a historic three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home, built in the 1920βs as the parsonage for the Trinity Chapel next door. Itβs been completely renovated and updated, and is included in some of our Wedding Packages. This is a charming 3 bed 2.5 bath with the space you need to take stress away from your big day!
The church was founded in 1844, after a split in the Episcopal Church over slavery. The church sided against slavery. This property was purchased on May 17, 1886, and the church was built in 1887 using handmade bricks. When the building was completed, it was known as First Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1888, the bell-tower was donated by George Spivey, with a bell brought from a foundry in Boston inscribed 1889 which is still in use today. Later, in 1925, was home to a pastor who argued in favor of evolution being taught in schools during what was known as the "Scopes Monkey Trial."

"Trinity Chapel is one of the most beautiful venues in Tennessee. Its vibrant white interior is a fresh complement to the towering stained glass windows - absolutely breath-taking!"

We feel it is SO important to know and understand
who we are and why we do what we do!
So, who are we? We are Jake and Brittany Cannon!! We just recently purchased Trinity Chapel and Trinity Cottage and we are so excited to be taking this journey with you. Brittany is a Rhea County native and loves being able to give back to her hometown. Jake works full time but helps Brittany with anything and everything regarding technology and is the backbone of the business!!! We drove by this newly rented Chapel for sale and prayed over and over if this was the Lord's will for us to take over this place, that he would open a door for that to happen!! He answered our prayers, and we took ownership in April 2023. This space has been a place to gather for over 100 years and our hope is that it will continue to be so for years to come! Our Vision
